At Habibie Innovation Incubator, we are committed to fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration through our Innovation Programs. Designed to empower SMEs, startups, and entrepreneurs, our programs focus on nurturing ideas that drive sustainable growth and technological advancement. Our Innovation Programs offer a range of initiatives, including networking event, mentoring session, workshop, training, innovation challenge, incubation, market immersion, and delegation trip. 

The Good Times 2024

The Good Times is a one-day event that combines panel discussions, networking activities, a garden party, startup pitches, SME demos, and an international gathering. Organized in collaboration with GIZ, Start2 Group, German Accelerator, AsiaBerlin, and GIPA, the event aims to foster pentahelix collaboration and strengthen the digital innovation ecosystem.

The event took place at the Habibie Ainun Library on June 4th, 2024, and welcomed 121 participants, including digital entrepreneurs, SMEs, business owners, government officials, media representatives, corporations, international support organizations, and community members.

This diverse mix of attendees included 23.1% from startups, 9.9% from SME businesses, 12.4% from international support organizations, 16.5% from corporations, 23.1% representing ecosystem builders, and 14.9% from government agencies.

SME Innovation Incubator

The SME Innovation Incubator Program is designed to empower and promote small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as they work to create higher-quality, more sustainable, and profitable products.

This program addresses the unique challenges digital entrepreneurs face by offering essential knowledge, guidance, expertise, and resources on circular practices and products, helping them build impactful businesses in the digital economy. Specifically, the program supports 6 SMEs from Jakarta, Bali, and Malang.

The program ran both online and offline from March to June 2024, engaging 6 SMEs with guidance from 12 mentors experienced in consulting, communication management, branding, F&B, operations, marketing, sales, human resources, CSR programs, policy advocacy, government relations, manufacturing, and business strategy.

Southeast Asia Market Access Program: Start2 Group Delegation Trip

The Start2 Group Delegation Trip is a landing pad program powered by Start2 Group, designed to help startups expand their market reach into Southeast Asia, with a focus on Indonesia.

Held from June 2-5, 2024, this program offers a dynamic lineup of activities, including city tours, an introduction to Indonesia’s innovation ecosystem, company visits, networking dinners, and B2B matchmaking sessions. These experiences are crafted to provide participants with valuable insights, connections, and opportunities in the Indonesian market.

The program brings together a network of distinguished partners, including Living Lab Ventures (Sinarmas), Astra Digital, Rigel Capital, Savills Indonesia, Djarum Foundation, YOBO, Vilo Gelato, and Esensi Solusi Buana, fostering collaboration and partnership opportunities for the startups as they establish a foothold in the region.

Digital Literacy Training

The Digital Literacy Training is an intensive, one-day workshop focused on digital transformation in public services. Organized in collaboration with DigiAct by Qiwii as part of the Digital Hub Network Pilot Activities, the workshop is powered by GIZ and Bappenas to enhance the digital knowledge and skills of state officials working in digital transformation.

Held at Markas Jakarta in February 2024, the program welcomed 32 participants from key national government ministries, including the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform. Through hands-on training, the workshop provided a comprehensive look into digital tools and strategies aimed at modernizing public service delivery.

A post-training assessment indicated a 14% cognitive improvement among participants, demonstrating the effectiveness of the program’s activities, modules, and presentations in advancing digital literacy among public servants. In total, 15 ministries and national government agencies were involved, and the program module has since been officially incorporated into the Digital Hub Network Guideline

Bali Networking Event 2024

The Bali Networking event is a one-day talk show and gathering focused on digital transformation for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Organized in collaboration with Badan Kreatif Denpasar, the Bali Blockchain Center, and Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional, this event is part of the Digital Hub Network Pilot Activities, powered by GIZ and Bappenas. The initiative aims to facilitate partnerships and foster long-term collaboration within the vibrant Balinese entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Held on May 15, 2024, at the Dharma Negara Alaya (DNA) Creative Hub, the program attracted 70 participants, including government officials, SME owners, business leaders, and members of local communities in Bali. The event provided a platform for engaging discussions on digital strategies and innovations, encouraging networking and collaboration among attendees to enhance the growth and resilience of SMEs in the region.

Inspirational Ask Me Anything

The Inspirational Ask Me Anything, implemented in collaboration with the Habibie Center and powered by GIZ and Bappenas, is a one-day interactive event designed to provide participants with valuable insights from a high-level expert through engaging Q&A sessions and opportunities for peer-to-peer interaction.

Led by Ilham Akbar Habibie, the session features expert insights drawn from his extensive experience and knowledge in business and policy, specifically tailored for participants of the SME Innovation Incubator Program. This dynamic format encourages an open dialogue, allowing attendees to delve deep into topics relevant to their entrepreneurial journeys while fostering meaningful connections among fellow participants.

Jakarta-Berlin Networking Event

The Jakarta-Berlin Networking Event brought together a vibrant mix of entrepreneurs, SME owners, startups, investors, and government representatives, all gathered in Jakarta's Future City Hub. The event was crafted to honor this significant milestone with a curated agenda that highlighted the depth and value of sister-city partnership.

Marking the 30th anniversary of the Berlin-Jakarta collaboration, this gathering offered an opportunity to celebrate three decades of shared vision, collaborative projects, and mutual growth. Through speeches, discussions, and networking sessions, audience reflected on how this partnership has consistently fostered innovation and economic resilience.

This special occasion allowed us to bridge the past with the present, celebrating accomplishments while embracing new opportunities. The event showcased our continuous journey of growth, highlighting the strength and forward momentum of a relationship that has thrived across borders and industries.

AsiaBerlin Expansion Lab

The Expansion Lab is an initiative within AsiaBerlin powered by betahausX and the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises, connects Berlin-based businesses, investors, and ecosystem builders with networks in Asia that will contribute to longer-term economic development.

The program has three geographical focuses: Japan & Korea, Singapore & Indonesia, and India. It provides a unique chance to establish connections in markets that would be normally difficult to access. Participants will get numerous opportunities to network, visit key conferences, obtain valuable local insights and gain exposure.

DKTI Waste National Reform

The Emissions Reduction through Improved Waste Management in Cities project is a German-Indonesian bilateral cooperation initiative, commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) of Germany and implemented by GIZ. This project is dedicated to establishing a robust, climate-friendly solid waste management system by enhancing the preconditions for integrated waste management in cities across Indonesia.

This event serves as a platform to stimulate discussion on urban waste management by addressing key issues, exploring solutions, and sharing available tools. Aimed at informing media, partner organizations, and government representatives, it highlights Indonesia’s ambitious waste reduction targets and their critical role in mitigating climate change. The event also showcases how Bappenas, in collaboration with GIZ, is developing training programs, tools, and other support activities for local governments and the public to help achieve these essential goals.
